The brand-new, magnificant Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport’s restaurant, Kitchen & Table, is the restaurant of July. The location of the restaurant could not be better: it is situated right next to Aviapolis station, 5 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Tikkurila and Myyrmäki, and 30 minutes from Helsinki Railway Station. The Finnish Aviation Museum is right next door, so it’s worth your while to take a trip to Aviapolis, with or without kids!
The restaurant is right beside the reception and serves all the locals, visitors and hotel customers. Just like the Hilton Gui restaurant we visited in April, Kitchen & Table wants to be a joint for the locals.
We visited the restaurant during lunch. It was pleasantly busy, yet had plenty of room for us. We had the options of a buffet lunch or menu. During July, lunch is on break, but the restaurant serves dinner, and the terrace is open. Check the photos below about the delicious buffet.
We ended up choosing the Business lunch on the menu (even though the buffet looked really delicious!!!). The Business lunch consisted of appetizers, main course, and dessert. We chose all the courses were from the menu.
At first, we had an extremely tasty vegetable soup.
For the main course, we chose shrimp couscous and entrecote with grilled vegetables. Both were delicious. The business lunch was a new concept for us, but it worked very well, and the portions were served fast. And what’s best: the portion sizes were such that after three portions, we still felt light.
For dessert, we had a wonderful chocolate panna cota.
The restaurant was extremely nice and cozy. I can truly recommend it for both private and corporate functions. The staff were nice and helpful and really cared about the customers.
In front of the restaurant there’s a bar that gives the best After Works in the city every Friday. If the weather is good, a DJ plays outside on the terrace. See you there!
